Vice President for Administration (m/f/d)
The private Vechta / Diepholz University of Applied Sciences (PHWT) offers mainly dual Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in business administration and engineering at the university locations in Vechta and Diepholz for currently around 600 students. The PHWT is supported by its shareholders and around 200 companies from the region. It was accredited by the German Science Council in November 2012 without any conditions for 10 years with possible renewal.
The PHWT has an opening on August 1, 2021 for the position of
the position of Vice-President (m/f/d) for Administration
as a full-time member of the Presidential Board for legal and administrative matters and permanent representation of the President in these areas. The term of office is six years. Reappointment is possible. The position is appointed by the sponsoring organization on the recommendation of the Senate in agreement with the President of the University. A search committee consisting of members of the Senate and representatives of the shareholders has been established for the preparation.
The PHWT is looking for a committed personality with in-depth knowledge of law and / or economics based on a qualified university degree (diploma, master’s degree, 2nd state examination in law) and several years of leadership and management experience in scientific, academic or business institutions. Knowledge and experience in administrative and higher education law matters,
Organizational development, digitalization in administration and human resources management are required. We expect strong communication, cooperation, integration and moderation skills supported by appreciation, collegiality and team spirit and a high degree of social and result-oriented decision-making skills as well as participation in the strategic development and profiling of the university.
